In this 2012 election season, I have a couple of observations and thoughts, and feel the need to log them down.
A lot of things are at stake these days, and on the local level a very important issue is O'ahu's rail transit system. While the construction of it has already started and it seems already in full motion, there is one candidate who's not in favor of the rail. Former governor Ben Cayetano in fact strongly opposes it. At this point I'm hearing reports on the news that he leads the way and is ahead of the other two candidates. It will be interesting to see how he does on the final ballot count as I feel it's safe to assume that the amount of votes he receives would be a barometer of just how many O'ahu folks support the rail!

As I watch the many political commercials being aired over and over and I ask myself: 'Why do some politicians feel that to get my support they need to point out their opponents faults and weaknesses?' It may earn them votes from some but for me it ensures that they don't have my support!
